Coronado Self Storage in Bernalillo, New Mexico

Just off the I-25 in Bernalillo, about 20 minutes north of Albuquerque, you can find Coronado Self Storage for all of your short and long term storage needs.

You can also find Bernalillo itself, with a rich and varied history, ranging from the exploits of Spanish Conquistador, Francisco Vasques Coronado, to the famous in legend and song Route 66!

Coronado was convinced he could find the fabled Seven Golden Cities of Ciboa, and set off from Mexico in 1540 with 1,400 men and 1,500 animals. After nearly two years of fruitless searching, he returned home with far fewer men and animals.

His entourage spent two winters in the region along the Rio Grande which is now Bernalillo, and his name and the names of his fellow wanderers and their descendants can be found everywhere.

Route 66 is now the main street of Bernalillo, Camino del Pueblo.
